une ville dans la ville, un peu \u00e0 part dans Rabat, aujourd\u2019hui encore plus qu\u2019hier. Mais s\u2019il n\u2019y avait qu\u2019une chose \u00e0 voir \u00e0 Rabat (quelle id\u00e9e saugrenue !), alors faudrait-il aller aux Ouda\u00efas.<\/p><p><strong>E<\/strong>difi\u00e9e comme un simple fortin au XII\u00e8me si\u00e8cle sous la dynastie Almoravide, elle fut v\u00e9ritablement \u00e9rig\u00e9e en kasbah par les\u00a0<strong>Almohades<\/strong>, et s\u2019appelait \u00e0 l\u2019origine\u00a0<strong>Mehdiya<\/strong>. C\u2019est la kasbah qui a donn\u00e9 son nom \u00e0 la ville. Le ribat est en effet un couvent fortifi\u00e9 et c\u2019est ici que s\u2019install\u00e8rent des moines-soldats qui partaient en guerre sainte en Espagne contre les chr\u00e9tiens.<\/p><p><strong>L<\/strong>e\u00a0<strong>ribat<\/strong>\u00a0devint \u201c<strong>Ribat El Fath<\/strong>\u201c, Ribat de la victoire \u2026\u00a0<strong>Rabat.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>T<\/strong>outefois, la ville n\u2019adopta d\u00e9finitivement le nom de Rabat en abandonnant celui de Sal\u00e9 le neuf qu\u2019en 1818, apr\u00e8s la renonciation \u00e0 la course du sultan\u00a0<strong>Moulay Slimane<\/strong>. Mais le berceau de Rabat est bien ici, aux Oudayas, dans la kasbah.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-33 Les maisons sont bien entretenues et magnifiquement fleuries.<\/p><p><strong>L<\/strong>a municipalit\u00e9 de Rabat a compris tout le parti qu\u2019elle pouvait tirer pour le tourisme de ce site exceptionnel, et fait en sorte que cette enceinte soit pr\u00e9serv\u00e9e des constructions h\u00e9t\u00e9roclites qui d\u00e9figurent le site, non sans difficult\u00e9s, en t\u00e9moignent les r\u00e9cents litiges avec certains riverains peu scrupuleux du respect du pass\u00e9.<\/p><p><strong>I<\/strong>ci, contrairement \u00e0 la m\u00e9dina situ\u00e9e quelques centaines de m\u00e8tres en contrebas, tout est feutr\u00e9. Les habitants se glissent discr\u00e8tement dans l\u2019ombre des ruelles.
