dor\u00e9navant d\u00e9nomm\u00e9 Jardin Andalou est une pure trouvaille, dans les ann\u00e9es 1920, de Tranchant De Lunel, architecte favori de Lyautey, qui a eu l\u2019id\u00e9e de cr\u00e9er ce jardin au pied du palais de la Kasbah des Oudayas, ancienne demeure des sultans Alaou\u00eftes lors de leur s\u00e9jour \u00e0 Rabat. Ce qui est \u00e9tonnant, si l\u2019on faisait un sondage aupr\u00e8s des jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, c\u2019est que la population Rbatie est persuad\u00e9e que ce jardin a plusieurs centaines ann\u00e9es d\u2019existence. Il n\u2019en est rien, ce jardin au d\u00e9but du XX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle n\u2019\u00e9tait alors qu\u2019une cour de caserne, mais elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 magnifiquement transform\u00e9e en jardin andalou et c\u2019est tout le m\u00e9rite du jardinier Jean-Claude Forestier (le cr\u00e9ateur du jardin d\u2019essais de Rabat).<\/p><p>Ici, r\u00e8gne une atmosph\u00e8re de qui\u00e9tude bienfaisante et les lyc\u00e9ens et coll\u00e9giens en ont fait leur lieu de r\u00e9union. Pourtant, faites une petite halte chez Mohamed, qui tient cette boutique.<\/p><p>D\u2019abord parce que vous y trouverez des dizaines de souvenirs de tr\u00e8s belle qualit\u00e9 et les plus belles cartes postales de Rabat et du Maroc. Ensuite parce que vous ferez connaissance avec la jeunesse marocaine.<\/p><p>Mohamed, est un jeune \u00e9tudiant du Sud Marocain qui a fait de solides \u00e9tudes \u00e0 Rabat. Avec son dipl\u00f4me d\u2019\u00e9tudes sup\u00e9rieures, il aurait pu \u00eatre un des ces cadres brillants et convoit\u00e9s aux Etats-Unis ou en Europe. Mais Mohamed aime trop son pays pour s\u2019expatrier. Alors en attendant des jours meilleurs, il tient cette petite boutique sans amertume aucune et y a s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 les meilleurs produits artisanaux et touristiques.
